I really don't consider myself a stamper, just a stamp owner.
I did break out the alphabet stamps for years there though - I think that counts for something.
I've got a heat gun.
I've dabbled in backgrounds.
I've sprinkled embossing powders.
I've added sentiments on cards.
Okay, so I do stamp, just not to a great degree.
It doesn't mean I don't want to though.
I really like stamped backgrounds and sentiments.
I don't like all the blending/alcohol inks/distress inks and messy stuff. I'm not into messy, it's just not me.
In the meantime, I just enjoy looking at them around my room. They make me feel happy, even if I don't use them.
How's that for funny?

ReplyDeleteLOL about the "not" being a stamper but owning a "few" stamps. I know where you are coming from. I really don't consider myself a "stamper" but at least I use my stamps!! I own way more than I use and I don't want to do the "messy" stuff either, using inkpads is way messy enough for me :-)

Oh, sounds like you use yours more than me. I have intentions, I have real intentions to use mine. I know, the ink pads and clean up are enough for me too! Gosh, even the clean up is too much sometimes. What I've discovered for me is that I like getting the same result every time - ie. punch that punch and you'll get the same butterfly each time. With all the distressy stuff, it's hard to get the same result. I don't know, it's just me, so I go with it.

Hi Debra. I have just stumbled upon ur blog after finding it on a friend's blog. I have ALL your punch art books and LOVE them to bits. Because of you I own (too many) punches...if there is such a thing...right???? I have done some stamping and sadly my punching has taken a bit of a pause. I do have LOTS of stamps and inks too now...but still will always have MORE punches...LOL. So glad to have found you.
